How it Works

Getting your applications from the Breeze Mobile site can be done in several easy to use manners.

Send a link to my phone

The first step, of course, is to choose the application you want to get. Once you've chosen the application simply click the 'Get this app now!' button to the right to start the process.

Step 1

You'll be asked to confirm that you agree to the terms of service and that you are of legal age and won't use the system to annoy other users. Once you agree to these terms click the 'Next' button to continue.

The next page provides all the information you need to get the application. You can either send the app to you phone or download it by using the mobile web browser on your phone.

Step 2: Send to my phone via text messages

This is the simplest method. All you need to do is give us your phone number, answer the anti spam question and you click the 'Get' button. Once thats done you will shortly receive a text message on your phone. Depending on which mobile operator (carrier) you are on you will receive either a short message (SMS) or a WAP push (also called a service alert, web alert or browser message on some phones). The message will have a link that you follow to get the application. Depending on your phone model you may be able to simply click the link or you may to use your phones various menu options to select and open the link.

The link takes you to a mobile web page that provides some information about the application you've requested and a link to download it. Depending on the application you may have some download choices. Click the download link and you will shortly start the installation process.

Device Specific Link Opening

Overview

Here are some of the common methods for various devices (note that some models may behave differently, these are typical device instructions):

Motorola

For most Motorola devices you simply select 'Goto' to open the link in the message. If you don't open it right away you will find it later under the Browser Msgs page in your Messages menu.

Sometimes you may receive the message as a regular text message. In that case you can open the link either by clicking it in the message or selecting Go To from the menu (click the middle menu button).

Nokia

On Nokia devices the messages are usually called 'Service Messages' and you can simply click the link or choose Download Message from the options menu. If the message arrives as a text message you will see the URL for the link but to follow it you must select Options then choose either Use Details or Find (depending on your model you should see one or the other) and then select Web address.

Research in Motion (BlackBerry)

To open the link in a BlackBerry device simply select it and click then select Get Link from the menu.

Samsung

Typically you will receive what Samsung calls a Push Message. You won't see the link but you will see a Connect option on the left button. Select that to go to the download page.

If the message arrives as a regular text message you can follow the link by selecting Options on the right then Go

Sanyo

Simply scroll down to the link in the message to select it then click Go to go to the download page.

Sony Ericsson

For Sony Ericsson devices you just have to click the Go To option to go to the download page. If the message arrives as a regular text message then you can just scroll down in the message to select the link and then select the Open option (typically on the left button) to go to the download page.

Directly download it with my phones browser

If you don't want to, or can't, get a link sent to your phone you can go to a direct download page for the application by using your phones mobile browser. The URL to go to will be listed on the screen, simply navigate to the URL using your phones browser. If your phone isn't supported by the application you will be told so, otherwise you will generally be asked to supply your phone number. This is required to ensure that you get the version of the application that is best suited to your mobile operator.

Once entered you will then be show a mobile web page that provides some information about the application you've requested and a link to download it. Depending on the application you may have some download choices. Click the download link and you will shortly start the installation process.
